    What to expect

    Clarify your style for homewares

    Gain clarity on your artistic style, whether to niche down (or not), and your aspirations to design for homewares brands in this focused workshop.

    Join me as I demonstrate how to create artwork using one subject in three different techniques, and explore the concept of niching versus versatility in your design approach.
    We’ll discuss the key differences between building a portfolio as a freelancer and as a personal brand.

    Through this demonstration, you'll see how having the skills to create anything doesn’t mean you should. It's about finding your unique style/s to focus on.

    By the end, you’ll clarify your direction and introduce the Foundations framework to help define your unique style.

    In this workshop you'll discover how to:

    • gain clarity on your artistic style

    • identify whether to niche down (or not)

    • clarify your creative preferences - what do you enjoy creating

    • identify your unique strengths

    • narrow your focus

    • build a plan in the right direction

    Will this workshop show me how to paint or draw?

    Note quite. In this workshop I'll demonstrate three artwork techniques, however I will not go into details about the process or techniques.

    It's to give an example of how the same subject can be made into three very different artworks to get the most out of your design process and also help to find or refine your style (or multiple styles).

    Will you teach me how to refine my style?

    I will teach you how to find and define your artwork style, or determine if you have multiple styles, that are suitable for homewares design.

    Do you tell me how to get clients?

    I will not directly tell you how to find and get homewares clients. This workshop is designed to help you refine your style so you have clear direction about which homewares clients you want to work with.

    How can I access the Community?
